How to Help: Tips from Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues. In this one-hour introductory workshop, participants will learn some of the basic MHFA fundamentals for how to help someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. MHFA helps participants to identify, understand and respond to signs of addiction and mental health challenges, and to encourage appropriate professional help.

This workshop is offered by certified MHFA instructor, Danielle Casioppo, MS, Education Specialist and Coordinator with Being Well at Yale. Questions about the 8-hour MHFA certification course will also be answered.

Open to Yale faculty, students, staff, and alumni.

Please note, for security purposes, a yale.edu or aya.yale.edu email address is required to participate.
