How to Help: Tips from Mental Health First Aid
Learn more about Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance use challenges. In this one-hour introductory workshop, participants will learn MHFA fundamentals for supporting someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge or crisis. How to Help introduces the importance of understanding and responding to signs of substance use disorders and mental health challenges, while considering the role of culture and the barriers of stigma that may exist.

This workshop is offered by certified MHFA instructor, Danielle Casioppo, MS, Education Specialist and Coordinator with Being Well at Yale. Questions about upcoming 8-hour MHFA virtual certification courses will also be answered.

Open to Yale faculty, students, staff, and alumni.
