Come learn what we can do to build power for the midterm elections, hold the U.S. House and Senate, and work toward a more inclusive society. By supporting established grassroots organizations in communities of color during the 2020 election, Walk the Walk played a vital role in electing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, flipping the Senate, and holding the House. We confirmed that careful research locating nested races in key districts- races where voters have maximum impact up and down the ballot- and supporting a relational approach to voter empowerment and fundraising are the most effective ways to activate collective will and resources.
We will go over our 2022 Midterm election strategy and welcome Berenice Rodriguez from Asian Americans Advancing Justice in Atlanta, GA. Rodriguez will address AAAJA's philosophy and methods and how we work together to build power in GA leading up to the election.
This meeting is co-hosted with We Activate- another all-volunteer group that is activating people to stand up for our democracy, support progressive change, and inspire individuals to get involved and take action.
