GLC@Lunch: Melissa Torres “Latinxs Experiences of Trafficking Throughout the Americas”

This talk will present findings from several qualitative studies, exploratory projects, and service provision evaluations which have taken place with displaced Latinxs in various settings across the Americas. Cultural, linguistic, and experiential understandings of labor, exploitation, and human trafficking as well as risks and vulnerabilities of the populations will be discussed. Programmatic responses in direct services, community campaigns, and movement building will also be shared.
