Prem Sahib
Born in London in 1982, Sahib is a British artist of Indian Polish descent. Sahib works primarily in sculpture, installation, performance, sound, and photography. They received a BA in fine art in 2006 from the Slade School of Art, London; an MA in material and visual culture in 2008 from University College London; and a post-graduate diploma in fine art in 2013 from the Royal Academy of Arts, London. Often minimal and sparse in color, Sahib's work explores themes including relationships, intimacy and sexuality, community, alienation, and confinement. Their work is informed by an interest in the architecture of spaces that act as meeting places, particularly for the gay and queer communities. Sahib has had numerous solo exhibitions and group shows throughout the world.
